The Domes are Completed at Mayo Industries in Berthoud
Two domes are completed and ready to be shipped. One of the domes goes to the EPMO and an identical dome is going to the Little Thompson Observatory in Berthoud.
The dome is 16 ft. in diameter and 8 ft. tall and weights approximately 1200 lbs. It has a powder coat finish for protection. |

This is the bottom ring it weighs about 650 lbs.. The dome rides on roller bearings on top of this ring. |

This is the hugh paint booth / oven where the powder coating is applied. The powdered paint is electrostatically charged and sprayed onto the part. |
